![]() Our first ever Alumni event - and a return to the meaning of a Homecoming game - was a success! On Friday, October 11, South alumni were invited back to their alma mater to sit field-level to watch the 2019 Homecoming Game. The War Eagles played their in-county rivals since 2009, the Lambert Longhorns. While the Longhorns led our series of competition over the years 5-4, our War Eagles defeated them soundly in a 42-17 victory, and tying up the series. To celebrate the newly established South Forsyth High School Alumni Association, alumni were invited back to enjoy a dinner catered by local barbecue restaurant 'Cue, and to watch the game from premium seats on the track surrounding the field. They also got to watch our Homecoming parade of golf carts, decorated by some of our student organizations, as well as the Homecoming Court ceremony, which crowned our 2019 Homecoming King and Queen. Visit our event page for the Homecoming event to see photos from the event. We also encourage you to keep tabs on our Events page for future planned events, including our Spring Alumni Gala. Thanks to all our returning alumni who made the evening so much fun! Sorry if we missed you, and we hope you join us in the future!
